The arrival of Hungarians in Rawdon dates back to 1935 with the arrival of Mr. Nicholas Jonas. He attracted several other Hungarian families to come and settle in Rawdon where they discovered landscapes similar to those of their own country. Rawdon still has nearly 200 Hungarian residents today.
